What do you want to quote?

If you are researching SR-22 insurance in Georgia, begin with the notice or order that applies to your driver record. A financial-responsibility certificate and an ordinary insurance card serve different purposes. Do not assume another state’s rules apply to your case.

What the official Georgia guidance says

Georgia DDS specifies SR-22A for certain repeated no-insurance convictions. Its FAQ says an SR-22 may be accepted if marked paid in full, and identifies a three-year coverage requirement for those cases. The FAQ also explains non-owner coverage and prepaid periods. Your reinstatement notice determines what applies to you. Read the official source.

Give your agent the complete instructions

Verify before purchasing

Ask whether the proposed insurer can provide the document requested. If you do not own a vehicle, describe access to household and work vehicles before asking about non-owner coverage. Confirm who sends the filing and how you check that the agency received it.

Keep the requirement separate from other obligations

An insurance purchase does not itself confirm license reinstatement. Check outstanding fees, restrictions and other steps with the licensing agency. Keep a record of payments and renewal dates, and ask the agent before changing or canceling required coverage.

HIA can review available insurance options. The licensing agency determines your individual filing and reinstatement requirements.
